Fitch Wire — Russia’s Sovereign Rating Resilient to Latest US Sanctions

Fitch Ratings-London-16 April 2021: Russia’s ‘BBB’/Stable sovereign rating is resilient to newly-imposed US sanctions, Fitch Ratings says. The sanctions are consistent with our view that sanctions risk would remain high under the Biden administration, which is captured in Russia’s sovereign rating via a one-notch deduction from our Sovereign Rating Model (SRM) output.

I wonder what Fitch will say about the growing fiscal deficit in the US. Not that it matters in reality according to MMT, but it is also a matter of optics financially ("inflationary") and politically ("reckless").
