Who Will Control the 21st Century? Whoever Controls Space — Joel Kotkin And Marshall Toplansky
Human beings are truly crazy. We've done a good job of destroying the earth as a safe habitat and now are turning out attention toward space.

"Whoever controls space..."
ReplyDeleteTom, that was the premise behind the Hollywood movie Destination Moon, and the imperative that the America get there first :)
It's one of my all-time favourite sci-fi movies (Isaac Asimov loved it as well). Even though it's obviously dated and the special effects archaic by today's standards, it got the science right. The cartoon bit in the movie where Woody Woodpecker is explaining how jet engines work is awesome! Great suspense too :)
