China Mega Investment Deal With Iran Blows U.S. Out of the Picture — Martin Jay
Is this how Iran will now get access USD's, or is this the USD equivalent of proposed Yuan?
Based on other articles that clarify, it appears to be USD equivalent capital investment over 25 years. In return, China gets discounted oil as well as access to the Iranian market and inclusion in BRI. In other words, the real deal is China moving into the Chinese orbit, cutting out the West in that region — absent regime change, which is not going so well for the West in Iran. Of course, kinetic war would change the game, but the West is not anxious to take that on at this point, despite Israeli insistence. Eventually, the question in the Western media will be, "Who lost Iran?"
The US investment of "bomb you back into the stone age" didn't cut it.
ReplyDelete"invest 400 bn dollars in Iran"
