Interesting to see The Saker picking up on Michael Hudson.

In my view, the overall US plan is to isolate and bankrupt Russia and China so it doesn't have to go to war with them. Hey, it worked in the case of the USSR, right? But how has that worked out in the case of Iran? 

On the other hand, Michael Hudson sees it as US anti-competitive practice to give the US elite an economic edge over Europe.

Good article (with a few caveats).
