You know, Tom, my first thought on the "Z" painted on the Russian military vehicles was that it stood for "Zelensky," as in "We are coming to get you, Z!"

Chomsky trivia: I recall watching a video on YouTube, not too old, maybe a few years old at most, where Chomsky was giving one of his trademark tirades against the United States: America bad this, America bad that. So, come to the end, the interviewer asks Chomsky that if America is so bad and evil why do you still live in the United States? Chomsky's reply: because America is still the greatest country in the world. No joke, that is what he said -- may God strike me with a coffee/caffeine intolerance if I am lying. And I must say that his reply rankled me -- like what, Canada is chopped liver or something!
