    1. She mentions "defending Mongolian seaports." What the hell. I thought Mongolia was a landlocked country. Or you think maybe she's talking about Turkish seaports.

Also this from her twitter account:

"wonder who put the idea in Zelensky's head that western powers might use military force to defend Ukraine in this war they talked him into fighting? Must be stressful learning your imperial buddies never saw you as anything other than a sacrificial pawn on the grand chessboard."

I just saw this morning on tv what was probably a stinger missile shoot down a Russian helicopter. Easily.

  3. "So what?"

Imagine if the Taliban or Islamist jihadists had such lethal weapons and in unlimited supply.

    "being used"

The Ukrainians know the score. They knew NATO would not directly cover their asses. Any such move would be a nuclear holocaust. Hell, a bum like me knew that. What no one expected, including this bum, was that Putin would be that stupid and mad to launch a full-scale invasion of the country. No winners, just losers her

In Greece today, there are two American military bases: one in the north near the Turkish border (Alexandroupolis), the other on Crete (Souda). They know, that the Russians have nuclear weapons pointed at those two bases. So why then? They're hoping (all hope is eternal) this reduces the risk of a Turkish invasion. Gotta decide. It sucks, but nothing you can do. And you plan as if you're all alone.

    And speaking of invasions,

CNN Türk: “Let’s take the islands that Greece stole from us”

Despite the war in Ukraine and other global issues, journalists of the CNN Türk network are “afraid” of a possible Greek attack on Turkey and presented maps of the Aegean islands that Greece is “illegally” occupying and suggested a future Turkish invasion.

All this not in a random marginal TV station, but in one of the largest news networks in the country.

Now, go ahead -- ask me a math question :)

  4. She mentions "defending Mongolian seaports."

She is purposely citing something ridiculous for effect. It's a "figure of speech" called "snark."

    1. I know, Tom. It was just my way sneaky way of insulting the Turks.

You know, in math, it helps a student a lot when you define something intuitively before you present a formal definition.

And on a serious note, both sides have their legitimate greivances and that the truth lies somewhere in the middle. Re. the Ukrainians, I get why they have such hatred for the Russians: two large chunks of their sovereign territory have been taken. Re. the Russians, they completely lost me with this war. Any legitimate greivances they may have had are gone.
