  1. Assessing the air war...

Soon the Ukrainians will have their no-fly zone. Let's do the assessing then.

  2. "But what’s more cruel is that Ukrainians might be paying with their lives for the United States’ reckless flirtation with Ukraine as a future NATO member without ever committing to its defense."

If I am not mistaken, that would require unanimous consent from all members. That wasn't happening. Easier getting permanent US residence than that ever happening.

  3. Greek,

Some reporting out today that Poland is sending all their 29’s to Rammstein and US is going to replace them with decommissioning F-16s… (didn’t say how many perhaps classified)

Then the Migs go to Ukraine who is already trained on them and Poland gets a free upgrade…

LockheedMartin stock skyrocketing…. They stood to lose all that F-16 business if they were flown to the desert…

Erik Prince was on Bannon last week said he pitched the pentagon on a derivation of this plan end of last year and they didn’t go for the deal then.,,

    Situation has changed now…

  4. Prince said there were 250 F/A aircraft being decommissioned probably 15s and 16s..

Probably all 250 now going to go somewhere in Europe…

  6. “Poland is ready to deploy all its MIG-29 jets to Ramstein Air Base in Germany and put them at the disposal of the United States, and urges other NATO members that own planes of that type to do the same, the Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.

The authorities of the Republic of Poland ... are ready to deploy – immediately and free of charge – all their MIG-29 jets to the Ramstein Air Base and place them at the disposal of the Government of the United States of America," the ministry said.

"At the same time, Poland requests the United States to provide us with used aircraft with corresponding operational capabilities. Poland is ready to immediately establish the conditions of purchase of the planes," it said in a statement.”

All of Europe going to be flooded with F-16s and F-15s …

  8. From an article by Paul Craig Roberts:

What airfields would the Polish MiGs operate out of? How long would those airfields remain operative?

Kalibr cruise missiles are standoff weapons and are accurate and used to great effect:

Kalibr: Russia’s Very Own ‘Tomahawk’ Cruise Missiles Is Hitting Ukraine

Russian Navy Using Kalibr Cruise Missile for Ukrainian Bombardment: Since the beginning of the war, the Russian navy has sent volleys of Kalibr land-attack cruise missiles from ships and perhaps submarines from the Black Sea at targets in Ukraine. The Kalibr has a long-range and it is lethal and accurate.

But the land-attack Kalibr will likely become a Russian go-to weapon during sieges in Kyiv or for targeting military targets in other parts of Ukraine.
