How China Will Achieve Hegemony — Carl Bildt
Bildt argues that the US is short-sighted in abandoning free trade to address China. China will dominate through trade.
Until the mid-1970s the US model was based on business. Now the Chinese model is based on business (or on trade), while the US model has degenerated to ruling via weaponized debt, bribery, force, extortion and lies. Force includes engineered famines and scarcity. Lies include catch-phrases like “Russian aggression,” which occurs in the first sentence of this article. Indeed the entre article reeks of anti-Russian and anti-Chinese drivel.
The US model cannot change. Therefore it is doomed. Therefore the USA fears China. The USA cannot defeat China militarily, as US forces are crippled by vax mandates, obesity, LGBTQ depravity, and the war on white heterosexual male personnel. Therefore the USA bullies weaker nations into submission to the Empire.
Behold the death throes of a vastly evil empire that is facing imminent collapse.
Tell that to the firms and industries that have been affected by sanctions or targeted by Chinese reprisals.
I'd tell them to increase their lobbying efforts.
In the real world, trade between the US and China is mutually beneficial. It'll take a war to put a dent in it. Geopolitical rhetoric and sanctions are minor disruptions to what a war would bring.
The availability of fossil fuels is another factor that sustains trade. The inescapable factor that will put an end to global economic fantasies.

Well said.
ReplyDeleteThe collapse of trade between the US and China has been greatly exaggerated.

Btw, who expected the Biden regime to continue Trump's stupidity?
ReplyDeleteThey were supposed to drop sanctions.

ReplyDeleteThis is what Iowa agriculture (agribusiness) did after Trump's ill-considered actions threatened to destroy it.
There you go... Congress is always open to the highest bidder.
ReplyDeleteIt is possible to have a Cold War with China while maintaining trade. Theatrics need not interfere with economics.
