White House Believed ‘Economic Nuclear Weapon’ Would End Russian War in Ukraine — Kyle Anzalone
Dud. The weapon failed to explode and to the degree it did detonate, it was a direct hit on US allies in Europe.
No produce in the shops due to high energy prices making glass growing unproductive.
Fertiliser prices massively increased making grain production expensive - which has shut down pig and poultry producers.
Apple growers ploughing up Orchard because they are uneconomic - again due to high input costs.
Those are physical capital destruction events which will lead to hysteresis. Higher interest rates make their replacement unlikely.
Nobody in the real world of Europe cares about numbers - particularly not when denominated in US dollars. They care about delivery of stuff that will allow them to stay in business.
