  1. Nothing new, Naomi Klein wrote a book about the whole thing - The Shock Doctrine.

He's just another " fake " right wing populist. That when you drill down to his economic policies he has the CIA planted firmly up his ass.

He's love nothing more than to introduce the Bremer plan. That was introduced in Iraq.

So nothing new, just same old, same old.

  2. He won't go as far as the Bremer plan but will follow the CIA playbook.

  3. About as much chance of implementing Austrian economics as Venezuela implementing communism.

  4. Hey, why doesn't he eliminate the presidency while he's at it.

  5. Without the legislature on side he can't do anything.

Another reason why separately elected presidents is pointless. It just leads to a clash of mandates, stalemate and an even more frustrated electorate.

But of course that's the current direction of democratic politics across the globe. Neutralise their capacity to make any substantive changes to the status quo.

  6. While campaigning, Milei often called "climate chnge" a hoax. Last Sunday as he was being inaugurated he did an about-pface. "Ha, ha, ha! You suckers believed me!"

As he ws being sworn in, his climate czar Marcia Levaggi joined the United Nations COP28 climate talks underway in Dubai. Milei says Argentina will remain subservient to the Paris Agreement on climate change, and that Argentina will keep its commitment to reach net zero emissions by 2050.

Milei is also a huge fan of Zelensky in Ukraine.

Once again we see that there is no difference between these “populist right” candidates in Western countries and the left.

The populist right implements more extreme leftist policies than leftists would be able to get away with.

  7. Zelenskyy has a bright future waiting for him outside of Ukraine.
