True words, we are repeating history... again. Why humanity is so unable to learn from their past mistakes? Why irrationality always triumphs?
As long as we don't deal with these problems, our progress will be always cut lose by things just like financial and monetary shenanigans, and ultimately by violence and destruction.
What goes by the name "capitalism" today is incompatible with democracy. It isn't capitalism at all. It is state capture by the 1%. That way #OWS is about here in the US, too.
