The Decline of the West — 2012 revised edition

Street lights have been turned off in a Sicilian town after local authorities failed to pay a million-euro bill for power supplies, Italian news websites reported on Tuesday.
Local residents of Monreale near Palermo — a popular tourist destination because of its famous Norman cathedral — have been forced to use flashlights in the evenings and some are warning of the risk of a spike in crime.
A local transport company also on Tuesday requested the seizure of property worth 600,000 euros ($786,000) belonging to the Monreale commune to honour another debt.

So we have now in the last 2 posts here at MNE:

1. Govt paying interest to itself;

2. Now here, govt not finding a way to apply electrical power to lights when the power is being generated by the nation anyway.... hmmmmm

This looks bad folks, we have to find a way to get these morons out of govt, this is really embarrassing.

You're right there Matt. For the third time in a hundred years... well you get the idea.

This time it appears the plutocrats are running the game to take over the power, and it seems they already have. Imagine, a clear example of resources and the people can't use it. Reminds me of unemployment all over the world.
