'Trickle-down' annoys the hell out of me because it's really obvious to prove it did NOT work. So the latest spin is pointing out how much the filthy rich pay in FEDERAL income taxes. And of course, that is some obnoxious amount. While pointing out how many Americans pay no federal income taxes. Again, some obnoxious number. For the latter, Paul Ryan says that is something we should be "looking" at in that everyone should be contributing at least something. It's only "fair". Everyone cheers.
When the reality is: WHY is it the wealthy are paying so much in federal income taxes, especially at historically low rates? Can anyone not see how THAT may indeed be the problem?
You know, because if every wage earner were offered a massive pay increase to help offset "job creators" tax burden, I'm sure they'd turn it down because they wouldn't want to pay more in taxes. Under the premise that they have those filthy rich bastards EXACTLY where they want them. It's been the plan all along.
