Bernie Sanders Barely Gets on Base - With a Bunt

commentary by Roger Erickson

A Plan to Cut Social Security Benefits

Bernie seems to have his heart in the right place, but mostly just adds to the confusion.

"At a time when corporations are enjoying record profits and the gap between the very rich and everyone else is growing wider, there are better ways to reduce the deficit than cutting programs for the elderly, veterans and the sick."

What a premise, Bernie. How about just reconsidering the very purpose of reducing fiat? If that's your plan, the easiest way to do that is to do nothing! But we can't reduce a deficit in fiat by doing less ... wait a minute, deficit, fiat, fiat deficit ... oh, let's call the whole thing off!

Can we just throw tomatoes instead? That way we don't have to think.  Besides, they're sinistral.  I mean REALLY leftist.  And, they probably make you fiat.  If you really want to make progress with these kind of tactics, just let the GOP girthers know that tomatoes make you fiat, and are evil too.  That would open up a new front in the confusion wars, and thereby save Social Security for another payday.  Werks fur mi!
