David Lightman — Rand Paul careful about where family resemblance begins and ends in Iowa

Garry Hamdorf , a retiree, was impressed. “It’s immoral what government does, but Sen. Paul is one of the most responsible legislators we have,” he said after talking with the senator.

Oh, yes, and he is for abolishing the Fed and reinstating the gold standard.

Well maybe we can hope he is ingesting the silver and will turn blue and then that will be the end of his political career...

Rick Santorum narrowly edged out Mitt Romney in the subsequent contested count of the popular vote in the Iowa caucuses. However, Ron Paul won the majority of delegates who went on to the RNC in Tampa and voted for him. You will probably be able to set your clock to the visits that Rand Paul will make to Iowa in the next couple of years.

The GOP in autopilot to suicide.

In a few years only old grumpy white men of mid-high income and libertardians/zero-hedgers/gold-lovers will be voting that train wreck.

The democrats only need to elect a white candidate and the GOP would lose a lot of votes in it's continuous moves to the right (while the democratic party replaces that political space moving too the right).
