"For example, Matthew 6:12 says: And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors."

The Lord was telling Israel to pray that GOD would pay TO THEM what they were owed FROM HIM just as they would pay what they owed others on earth...

The Lord reveals here that God looked (looks?) at it as though He was in "debt" to at least Israel.

The way that Christendom has looked backwards at this scripture and has been believing falsely for all these years is a big part of the problem we see people having with "debt" and "deficits" like debt is "bad" or something per se...

Like we need "forgiveness" from it or something...

This is where a lot of the negativity about "debt" comes from in western thought...

As long as incomes are sufficient to pay back debt, debt should not be a problem.... fiscal policy can VERY EASILY provide for sufficient incomes for debt service as well as savings as well as household provision, etc...

This is/has been a big problem in Christendom....
