It;s interesting to note how global our politics has become. Even an American with almost no prior knowledge of Australian politics can understand most of this speech.
Right, it's called neoliberalism, and it’s the same all over. Deregulate, privatize, arm up, net export, enter into trade agreements that favor transnationals, import cheap embedded labor, decrease labor's bargaining power, tax regressively, and trade unemployment for low inflation.
Oh, it's coming. Just a matter of time. The younger people coming along are not shy about speaking truth to power and they are pissed about their future prospects.

Some of these issues we have in Canada. I'd like to see one of our milquetoast politicians make a speech like that.
