Eleven international clothing brands have abandoned Russia in the last year as the ongoing financial crisis forces the mid-price segment out of the market. Sensing an opportunity, budget labels are moving in to take its place. Online Asian stores, with which western players find it difficult to compete, have also embarked on an aggressive campaign.…This is a no brainer. The clothing is made in Asia according to Western design specs and branded. Asians can either provide their own designers or hire Western designers. They just need to develop some brands and surely they can hire Western marketing and ad firms with experience in this, too, if they need assistance. It was always only a matter of time.
