Why are we still using QWERTY? It was designed during the era of mechanical typewriters and is intended to slow a typist's speed. It reduces productivity.

Conclusion: through force of habit, and stubbornness.

Perhaps if QWERTY were shown to cause impotence there'd be a push for change.
