Fuller can't see the forest for the trees ...
NK wants nukes because nuclear parity (MAD) is the only possible way to forestall US aggression, evidenced by the US refusal to engage in peace talks.
The solution to this is simple: direct negotiations for peace talks to supplant the 1953 cease-fire agreement, without preconditions (that the US has uses to prevent negotiations) under the supervision of the UN. Remove the US threat and the DPRK will stand down its nuke program.
US should bring its 28.5K troops home from South Korea and have them patrol the US southern border. Let South Korea and North Korea work out their problems themselves.
Those troops could be used to prevent illegals from fleeing the US, assuring continued cheap labor. They could also be used to prevent Americans from fleeing to Mexico.
The US has no good options.
The US should get its own house in order wrt ethical fiat and credit creation before it presumes to enforce its corrupt model on other countries.
