I like the guys at Veterans News Today. They're decent, nice people. A little bit conspiracy theorist at times, but its full of left wingers like myself. They are only looking for a fairer more egalitarian world..

Tom, Lang wasn't just a "former military intelligence officer at the US Defense Intelligence Agency.” You make him sound like an ordinary DIA joeboy within the agency.

He was Director, Human Intelligence Collection (HUMINT) within the DIA. It “Included world-wide command of all military, naval and air force attaches serving with U.S. diplomatic missions as well as many other collection activities. These collection activities included all the espionage assets of the Department of Defense.” (He was also vice-chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Board and a principal figure in Bob Woodward’s book “The Commanders.”)

Though retired, he still receives daily updates of HUMINT assets and activities because he retains his security clearance but cannot comment on them (he has said so). Reason, in my opinion, why his posts are so brief and why he has no patience with most of his commenters, myself included, unless they are fellow intel operatives (majority retired) whom he occasionally identifies.

OK, that will appear in future posts.

For the fun of it [;-)] maybe include that the cigar-chomping Captain of the original A-Team television series was based on Lang? Democracy Now!'s Jeremy Scahill let that one out of the bag in one of his books where Lang was a major Scahill source. The dry labeling of that job in Lang's official full CV is dull to the point of utter torpidity. I knew a few of the original MACVSOG team, which Lang ran (and was the later source of the A-Team escapades), and when I casually mentioned it in a post a few years ago, Lang fired off a private email to me demanding to know who I was, where I got my info, who I knew and why.
