Russia has indicated that it will respond in kind.

It is actually more important for Russia to reduce actual US influence there then for the US reduce putative Russian influence in the US, since Russian influence is much less of an actual influence in the US than US influence in Russia.

If the Russians are smart they will take the opportunity to show the US news organizations the door and harrass Russian organizations taking the US line out of business.

China has already figured this out on the mainland but is having problems in Hong Kong with the US and UK fomenting regime change, but they are dealing with it.

Superstate Oceania is perpetually at war and maintains omnipresent government surveillance and public manipulation. The superstate is under the control of the privileged elite of the Inner Party, a party and government that persecutes individualism and independent thinking.

The tyranny is ostensibly overseen by Big Brother, the Party leader who enjoys an intense cult of personality, but who may not even exist. The Party seeks power entirely for its own sake. It is not interested in the good of others; it is interested solely in power.
