They won’t be able to hold it back Neil...

Wait for these dopes here running the USD system to adopt...

If you get rid borders, allow capital and trade free movement, accept tax payments in any currency or commodity like the US does, crypto could become more prevalent than naysayers predict.

Right Ryan that may be where this is going... iow technocrats are just going to bypass the morons running the current systems...

Then it has the added value that it is heavy libertarian for today's libertarian utopia... MMT probably is going to be left in the dust as it is not libertarian at core...

Everyone is focusing on the potential for capital gains but this is just the sizzle that is drawing people in... what they get out of it is experience with the technology...

If they were smart they would set all coins equal to each other... maybe look for this.... fixed exchange rates between the coins.... but not with any state currencies...

Eventually they might be able to just blow away all the state currency systems... then the system would have no authority involved at all...

And then the thing is, it would probably turn out BETTER materially even than what we have now... globally... iow the shitholes might not be shitholes anymore...

the current systems are not operated very well at all lets face it ... some better than others but none really very good...

So there is an opportunity for a new paradigm to move in on how to run the global accounting system...

Then the result is either global transnational corporate totalitarian, or a reaction to in the form of multiple repeats of the French Revolution.

The globalists know deep down this is coming but they can't yet deal with it.

See "gray rhino." Similar to "elephant in the room." Opposite of "black swan."

Do “Gray Rhinos” Pose a Greater Threat Than Black Swans?

What’s a gray rhino reality check?

It starts with a very simple question: What is my gray rhino? What’s the big thing in front of me that’s going to trample me unless I do something?

It's important to understand the underlying dynamics of a system.

The underlying dynamic of most social systems is control, for the simple reason that evolution has operated on the basis of dominance and submission.

Geopolitically, the dynamic is always control of the known world or ecumene (oecumene (UK; Greek: οἰκουμένη)

This is the basis for empire.

The present thrust is for a global empire under a "global liberal order" where "liberal" means "neoliberal," that is economic liberalism as the controlling factor.

The political elite see global domination in geopolitical terms, while the economic and financial elite see it in terms of global transnational corporatism supplanting democracy by creating a rule-based order that is independent of elections.

Most people are completely unaware of this other than through the effects, and many if not most would view it as a conspiracy theory.

But the effects are generating a political dialectic that is creating a backlash expressed in populism of the left and right. Right populism is ascendant.

Left populism had its day with the communist revolutions and their failure when hijacked by an elite. Right populism also had its day when it resulted in the fascistic governments in the lead up to WWII.

Liberalism won that those rounds and now the liberal elite is emboldened.

The problem now is that the neoliberals, neo-imperialists, and neo-colonialists have hijacked liberalism and now colonizing ever their own peoples.
