SouthFront — U.S. Strikes And ‘Scores’ Of Killed ‘Russian Fighters’ In Syria

The entire story about mass casualties of Russian PMCs is based on unconfirmed and fake data, that includes a few real facts like the US strikes, some PMCs casualties and the participation of the ISIS Hunters in the incident. The rest is an orchestrated campaign in keeping with the best traditions of propaganda.
The goals of which would be that:
  • the US is able to fight back against the Russians in Syria;
  • Russia is not able to defend its interests;
  • the Kremlin is not concerned over killed Russian citizens or is not able to carry out any pay back.

Prepping the public for war with China and Russia?

The intel community is ramping up its bullshit offensive in response to the Nunes Memo and some damaging articles about RussiaGate in mainstream publications like The Nation.

The end game here is not clear. Trump has folded and is playing along, the military budget is waaaaaaay up, WTF else are they after? It can't be a hot war, and the activity is clearly hazardous in the extreme.

I just hope the enemy understands what they are now up against.... or there is going to be a bloodbath..

What's concerning is that it's becoming clearer as events unfold that the window of opportunity to take Russia and China down militarily is closing quickly. That leaves the option of economic warfare, which is not going well, or to seize the moment.

It's unclear whether "they" are coordinated and operating in accordance with a plan, or are not coordinated and delusional. Or maybe some combo thereof.

Is it four-dimensional chess, or bonkers?

Syria is blowing up, and the Ukie nationalists, including the neo-Nazis. seem to be preparing an attack on Donbas when the weather improves, after being armed and trained by the US. These are both turning into US proxy wars with Russia.

NK is another powder keg and that is a proxy war with China, the US viewing NK as a Russian ally. There are also hot spots all around the borders of China where control is being tested.

Finally, if the Belt and Road Initiative is successful, China will be the presumptive hegemon rather than the US-led West. This is freaking the American elite.

Parlous times.

So the US is already at war with both China and Russia, just not yet directly.

The Chinese are again talking about tianxia, meaning "all under heaven."

NK can be taken care of in a few minutes with tactical nukes so that is no big deal in the long run...

Now Syria is heating up in conventional:

“The latest U.S. airstrike came less than a week after a massive strike killed 100 "pro-regime" forces, including what defense officials told Fox News were Russian contractors.

In that incident, U.S. special operations forces and allied Syrian fighters came under attack by a group of 500 Assad regime-backed fighters equipped with tanks, artillery and mortars.

Four Russian nationals -- and potentially dozens more -- were killed in that assault, according to the New York Times, which cited Russian and Syrian officials.

The incident took place five miles across the Euphrates River near Deir ez Zoir, which serves as a “de-confliction” line between US and Russian/Syrian backed forces.”

Maybe they negotiate Ukraine for Syria... iow we layoff in Ukraine and do Syria....

Might have to do Mexico now too ... SOUTHCOM might get their turn finally ...

I think based on Olympics the Korea situation will now probably resolve itself...

Move those 40,000 US Army currently in Korea to US southern border to train to take out Mexico...

Tom Hickey said...

Matt, this is the typical US thinking that goes back to Vietnam.

It has not worked anywhere so far.

There is less reason to suspect that it will work now since China, Russia and Iran are not Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, or Libya.

This is a very different ballgame.

@ Matt

"Taking care" of North Korea is problematic at best. Both South Korea and a goodly portion of Japan would probably get taken out as a consequence. The global economic effects would be severe even if it did not escalate into a global war. China has clearly stated that they support the DPRK.

Iran is a threat to nobody (unless of course you're an oil supplier). Israel is a threat to everybody. In 1946, who would have thought that Jews in the next century would be running the world's largest concentration camp?

Russia will take a bloody nose, and this will embolden US fanatics. At some point into crossing an unstated line that will result in a serious reaction. Russia will not go off half-cocked but when they do go off, look out, and China will have their back.

Matt Franko said...

These are the Vietnam grunts commanding now Tom they probably won’t make the same mistakes ...

It’s like Mattis says you just kill all the mfers ....

Russia will back down in Syria eventually especially if US lays off in Ukraine as a quid pro quo...

China probably would like us to do North Korea so they don’t have to deal with it but looks like the Trump sanctions are working....

Probably eventually move the USFK to Texas and start training to do Mexico... Mexico is out of control and the whole SOUTHCOM area is circling the toilet bowl fast (Venezuela, etc) ... that is where we need the forces brought to bear...

Tom Hickey said...

Remember "body counts"? Didn't work then, won't work now.

[As] head of Central Command, Mattis oversaw the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and was responsible for a region that includes Syria, Iran, and Yemen. Wikipedia

How did that go? Oh, right, the US is still fighting there.

Matt Franko said...

“"Taking care" of North Korea is problematic at best.”

It’s pretty stable right now see the Olympics ... they are warming to South Korea and China has been building up on the NK border ... looks like the NK guy has been brought to heel.. and if for some reason they shoot at us I think tactical nukes go in there and it’s over in a few minutes... which I dont think they will shoot at ..usnow.

We need to hand that one off to South Korea and China ... start focusing on our southern

Tom Hickey said...

Are you paying attention? The US is demanding denuclearization now, or else, and warning that the time is growing short.

Matt Franko said...

Obama POTUS Tom... basically a female POTUS ... the whole thing was very female with Obama...

“According to Leon Panetta, the Obama administration did not place much trust in Mattis, because he was perceived to be too eager for a military confrontation with Iran.[60]

He retired from the Marine Corps in 2013.”

Trump has given him the green light if it comes to it ... these guys play to win it’s not the Obama people...

Vlad better figure this out...

Tom Hickey said...

So the US lost in Vietnam, and is stuck in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, and Yemen, is because the president didn't unleash the military?

Ralph Musgrave said...

Noah Way says “the end game isn't clear”. MSM seems equally befuddled as to what the endgame is, but then MSM never has had much of a clue as to what’s going on in the world.

Strikes me the “end game” is simple: Russia has long had quite close relations with the Assad regime. Plus Assad owes Russia for the support the regime has got from Russia. What Russia would dearly like is a naval base on Syria’s coast, not to mention other bases in Syria. The US doesn’t want that, obviously. So the US will support absolutely any group, including ISIS which is anti-Russia and anti-Assad. Or have I missed something?

To win what is the question? These guys are a bunch of reactionary sore losers form the vietnam era. Determined to make amends for what they see as a humiliating loss 40 years ago. We DONT need to settle the Vietnam score!

Your gender assignment politics is a little loopy there Matt. You seem to believe that "real men" know how to kill people, while negotiating and working for peace is for pussies/females . You are going off half cocked. I say that cuz I think you are going beyond just describing what you see and you are actually in favor of the Mattis mantra. Its the alpha makes that have gotten us into all this mess

Matt Franko said...

I'm just reporting what I am seeing...

Greg do you remember Gulf War 1? did you really think US would go in? I didnt.. yet they (same people) did... How about Iraq in GW2? I could see Afghanistan as Al Queda was there but then Iraq? I thought no way... BUT they (same people) did it anyway..

Dont put any war past them... Trump is CINC now and he is less apt to wage war than the Bush people, but he is still a "counter puncher" so the enemy is going to have to take the first swing but if they do then it will be on for real... these guys dont take any shit...

I'm pretty sure Trump would like to re-deploy the resources in Korea to more emergent/immediate/direct US security concerns... which lie to the south...

@ Ralph

Russia has two foreign military bases, one in a former Soviet Republic and the other in Vietnam (a naval refueling station). They are not interested in expanding their military presence around the globe. Neither is China. Both would like to expand their economies. Russia's is primarily oil based and has long had pipelines through Syria, which on one level is what Syria is all about. Qatar has the world's largest reserves of natural gas (shared with Iran under the Straits of Hormuz). Ousting Assad would allow cutting or control the Russian pipeline and make way for a new one from Qatar. This is just a replay of the Trans-Afghanistan Pipeline that the US is providing "security" for (forever, in case you were wondering why we can't leave).

Ukraine is part of the same game (and a bunch of others as well). Look at a pipeline map.

Because, like most Americans, you didn't understand the context and dynamic and were unaware of published material that showed this to be part of a plan.

Those that were abrupt of this saw what unfolded as virtually a certainty.

This is why a lot of well-informed people suspect that 9/11 was a false flag operation to provoke it. I am agnostic on 9/11, but I agree that the investigation was basically the same-old same-old, added to the JFK investigation, RFK investigation, MLK investigation, etc., although the 1973 Church Committee investigation of the CIA was pretty good and the investigation of the My Lai massacre did result in the prosecution of Lt. Calley but not the higher-ups. The US government is not good at investigating itself. Surprise.

Energy is just about everything. I was just looking at a study of factors involved in the accession of the West to global power in the last half century. The largest effect, when the Western control went exponential, was when fossil fuel energy was harnessed to technology. Then the West left the rest of the world in the dust. This is well-known in US strategic circles and it is a big reason behind US geopolitics, geostrategy, international relations, foreign policy, and military policy, as we'll as the role of the military-industrial-governmental complex that drives the US politically and economically.

By stating a well-known fact about some experts' opinion after due deliberation regarding evidence?

In addition, I said I was agnostic about it.

However, in my view the investigation was inconclusive since it did not resolve all the issues raised by evidence.

I view the matter as still open.

Kaivey said...

Yeah, we never read about that in the corporate media, how Kuwait was stealing Iraqi oil.

Building 7 - no planes hit, but it just turned to dust and crumbled into its own footprint. Weird.

We were told afterwards that B7 had a massive hole on the other side caused by fires. They said the 'conspiracy theorist ' never told people that. That shut me up for a while, until I read that the damage on the other side would have caused it to topple over, not fall into its own footprint. We were lied to again.
