Jean Hopfensperger — Fastest Growing Religion Is ‘None’

Institutional religion off, spirituality on.

On a practical level, that means a lot less funding for religious institutions — and a lot more funding for "spirituality," some of which is organized and some not. This trend was already perceptible as an aspect of the countercultural revolution of the Sixties and Seventies. An underground or alternative economy also developed then and it has grown into the billions presently and become mainstream. Part of that is the so-called New Age market.

Christian churches have abandoned the Bible, especially the Old Testament, wrt economic justice so it's no wonder they themselves are being abandoned.

Not that Progressives have promoted economic justice either ...

Yo that is why they are called ‘Christians’ and it’s called the ‘OLD testament’...

The Old Testament and the Mosaic Law and Judaism are commonly supposed to be "Tabooed" by the orthodox. Sceptics pretend to have read them, and have found certain witty objections ... which too many of the orthodox unread admit, and shut up the subject as haunted. But a Candle is coming to drive out all Ghosts and Bugbears. Let us follow the light.[42] James Clerk Maxwell from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Clerk_Maxwell
