How the Media Manufactures Consent for Regime Change in Venezuela

President starts a war: Congress yawns.
President threatens to end a war: Congress screams.
~ Ron Paul

Russia-gate is finished

Whether or not it is finished, at least we can tell Russia-gaters, “Don’t pretend to hate Trump when you support his attack on Venezuela.”

US ‘lost all sense of shame’ in handling Venezuelan crisis – Lavrov

Washington had no shame to lose, since Washington caused the Venezuelan crisis. Lavrov’s comment is like saying Israel “has no shame” in its response to Israel’s own bombardment of Gaza.

Haiti ... the insurrection is spreading (not that you would know if corporate media was your only channel).

Re: China Accelerates Renewed Gold-Buying Spree "To Diversify Its Reserves"

Possibly in reaction to MMT proposals in the US to greatly increase the supply of US fiat without increasing the DEMAND for it.

The most obvious, natural, ethical way to increase the DEMAND for US fiat is to allow US citizens* to actually use US fiat** and to de-privilege the use of private bank deposits.

But MMT advocates show no interest in de-privileging the banks but rather to increase their privileges to near impunity.

I suggest you quit being bank toadies, MMT advocates and then:
1) you'll be more popular (i.e. more populist).
2) have more credibility wrt to price inflation.

*perhaps the citizens of other countries too but not on the same basis as US citizens.

**besides pitiful physical fiat, coins and bills, which is totally useless for on-line purchases, bill paying, etc.
