The severity of Covid to Flu worldwide gives Covid the edge now. Six months in and its killed as many as Flu does in a year - and we're nowhere near done.
We shall see if Covid racks up a million dead before it hits the first anniversary.
I doubt it will be twice as deadly as flu though, but we shall see.

In the US the flu kills about 40k annually
We are over 150k in about half the time. Moving towards 7x as deadly here
