Central Bank buying assets is not part of MMT policy…. Just the opposite…
It comes from monetarism where they reify the abstractions (ie they’re unqualified) and think “banks lend out the reserves!”…

Right, it's what I call "the MMT meme" that is now better known than actually MMT. It's getting to be rather pervasive now that "MMT" is a thing.
Pretty soon we'll be hearing that actual MMT economists don't know what "MMT" is.
And so it goes.
