lol... the Azov "nazi" in question is a Greek whose grandfather fought REAL nazis in Greece in WW2. He spoke perfect Greek...lol

These Azov nutters are extreme far right-wing... shitheads. Shitheads. Every country has them. In the US, for example, you can see such shitheads on tv -- like that guy in the Auschwitz t-shirt inside Capitol bldg.. Some shitheads are more organized like the ones seen on tv chanting "Jews will not replace us." The Azov shitheads of Ukraine have an extreme dislike of anything Russian.

Yeah, Tom, now please post the link of how Putin "made peace with Russian neo nazis, anti-semites, et al."

No sarcasm, Tom. Just trying to point out that anti-Semitism -- let's call it what it really is -- shamelessly pervades the entire modern history of Europe, most especially eastern Europe; that goes double for Russia.

Nothing turns up on a search. Maybe you have a link or two?

Do you guys remember Canada's Avro Arrow? It was one of the most if not the most advanced jet fighter of its time.

The record-breaking jet which still haunts a country

The official reason given for its cancellation what that Canada didn't have the economies of scale for its manufacture. Others said that the US told Canada in no uncertain terms to cancel it or else. This fact points to the second reason (bold mine):

When Prime Minister John Diefenbaker unexpectedly terminated the Avro Arrow project on February 20, 1959, also known as “Black Friday”, he spurred outrage among Canadians. A protest was held in Toronto and Diefenbaker’s reputation was tarnished. How can Canadians’ enthusiasm for this project be explained?

The federal government ordered the destruction of all items pertaining to the Arrow, including the five operational prototypes, documents, equipment, and plans.

Once the project was scratched, Canada’s aspirations to be a leader in military aviation and technology were dashed. Approximately 25,000 people lost their jobs and many of the top engineers defected to the U.S and contributed to NASA’s Apollo Program.

This is the idea of "indivisible security", where Russia said that countries couldn't enhance their security at the expense of other countries, something that Ukraine, unlike Canada, didn't seem to understand. Which is why we are where we are today.

Canada takes its orders from Washington.

Remember Gerald Bull?

Bull was rewarded for success of this program by a Congressional bill, sponsored by Senator Barry Goldwater (R-AZ) making him retroactively eligible for a decade of American citizenship and high-level American nuclear security clearance. He was granted citizenship by an Act of Congress.
