I wish Andrei could explain the Russian brilliance of the "40-mile military convoy" early on in the invasion and also the capture, occupation of the radioactive area of Chernobyl.
I wish Andrei could explain the Russian brilliance of the "40-mile military convoy" early on in the invasion and also the capture, occupation of the radioactive area of Chernobyl.
The convoy was a feint that deceived the Ukrainian, US, UK, and European leadership and fixed a sizable force in Kiev in preparation for an invasion that was not in the Russian plan. Worked perfectly in the maneuver warfare that was transpiring at the time. The real objective was Mariupol, which the Russians took. This was explained at the links here while it was taking place.
The occupation of Chernobyl was to prevent a nuclear dirty bomb false flag operation.
Mistakes were made in each but that doesn't mean that the operations were not successful in accomplishing their objectives. In the end this is what counts. War is about facts on the ground.
