When Hudson talks about balance of payments and he is obsessed with them as it was his speciality. Is he still confusing them with a time of the gold standard and fixed exchange rates ?
As I think the likes of Hudson has instilled this myth on the left, that China and Russia funds the US when they buy treasuries.
