War as reality check — Alexander Dugin

Alexander Dugin is sometimes misrepresented as "Putin's brain" when he is actually an outsider and unwelcome in official circles, like the foreign policy realists in the US. He is a philosopher, political theorist and sociologist. Here he presents an analysis from a Russian point of view.

This will be of interest primarily to geopolitical nerds. But it is fairly short and accessible so it may be of interest to others, too, given contemporary conditions. He makes some good points about information war. He points out that information war meets its limit at reality, one of the most gripping aspects of which is war. At this point, old narrative are exposed and new ones must be created to replace them to maintain control of the narrative in information space.
