The Occupy movement is gearing up for general strike on May 1. I was handed this by one of the movement's members outside my office today on Wall Street. Here is an excerpt:
"The questions are simple. Why does a small group of humanity reap the efforts of billions? Why can this elite group poison the planet to further enrich themselves? Why do we accept a soulless social order built around the concept of people staying in line? Why do we allow armed police to beat and cage us if we step off that line?" |
Take some time to read the rest. I think it's worth it. There are some well written thoughts.

What needs to happen is something obnoxious. Like someone parachuting into the center of the protests wrapped in MMT logos and banners, throwing trillion dollar coins at the cops. If said person is screaming "GTFO of MY WAY", know it was me. It sometimes works to your advantage to have the least stable among us on your side.
This one is really good:

Part of this is a rebellion against the pervasive sense of false \ness and unreality that comes from living in a commercial culture.
I think it's clearly the elites who have broken the social contract and who now exert control by force and not through legitimate authority. Increasingly we live in a tyranny. We know what we have to do. The rest is strategy and tactics!
