Alexandra Di Stefano Pironti — Mystical Islam Deters Fundamentalism

Like all religions, Islam is composed of a normative religion focusing on doctrine, ritual, and observance, and a mystical wisdom tradition that focuses on spirituality. To see Islam as represented essentially by fundamentalists would be a grave error, confusing the chaff with the kernel.

The mystical wisdom tradition lying at the core of Islam is called Sufism. The basis of Sufism is love. It is said that the disciple is the cup, and the master pours the wine into the cup. Love is the wine.

No doubt.

But in this present wicked era we are in, ie for today..., some of we of mankind are made to realize the current condition of "the cups":

25 "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you are cleansing the outside of the cup and the plate, yet inside they are brimming with rapacity and incontinence.
26 Blind Pharisee! Cleanse first the inside of the cup and the plate, that their outside also may be becoming clean!" Mat 23

The general idea here is NOT to discard the cups, but rather for leadership to remove the contaminates... to the extent we are made able... which sadly seems extremely limited (for now).

The blind cannot see this... rsp,
