You can rag on and denigrate these people all day long (and I might even agree with you at times,) but you gotta admit that George W Bush was the closest MMT guy we've had in the White House in over a generation; and it was the evangelical right that helped get him elected.
Yeah, and how they hate W now. He is persona non grata among them, and even the Bush name is still poison.
He used MMT to benefit mostly the wealthy and the military-industrial complex and create a housing & banking bubble, not good example.
