Lars Syll — What is neoclassical economics – a rejoinder to Noahpinion

The debate continues and looks to be far from over. The problem is that most mainstream economists hold that the methodological debate is over, in "the profession" now has settled on a methodology. Those not using this methodology are considered heterodox, a euphemism for heretical. This debate is going nowhere as long as the mainstream refuses to debate methodology. Until this changes for the better, count on policy formulation based on mainstream methods to be disastrous and prepare for the worst.
