Remember the Texas Republican Party platform before the last election included a plank that demanded that any teaching of critical thinking or OBTE be banned from Texas schools.

An educated and informed citizenry is the greatest threat to the elites. Always has been. Without critical thinking skills we won't be able to increase our adaptive rate, decipher context, understand the OODA loop and other feedback systems and will ultimately self-destruct.
