This is a very big deal. The GOP is not only conducting a civil war in the US, a civil war has developed in its own ranks between the extremists and the extreme extremists like Cruz and Jim DeMint, who left the Senate to run it from the Heritage Foundation (think $$$).

But Tom, there seems to be "civility" and agreement on the austerity baked into the CR which the Senate passed earlier...

The only thing they all seem to be in agreement on is that spending should be reduced...

Seems like what may be happening is the "fiscal conservatives" on both sides of the aisle may unite to end this thing, but the new levels that they put in any such agreement do not bode well for the US economy.... what is uniting them is the austerity...

The Democratic Party is controlled by fiscal conservatives, and progressives are either clueless or are fiscal conservatives themselves.
