Hey, Ben, better late than never. When I was at Fox, going back 10 years, Stein was always crying about how the debt was going to bankrupt our kids and grandkids. I guess if the debt is for the military, that's okay.
How do these people sleep at night?
Or better yet, what did they do with all the money their parents gave them for an education?
Mike: That was remarkable ignorance from the son of an economist, Herbert Stein - who at the Committee for Economic Development "persuade[d] the business community in the 1940's to rally behind the 'unnatural' idea of using Federal budget deficits to regulate the economy". So BS is probably remembering the stuff his dad taught him - and seeing the way the wind is blowing too.
