Today in DC, the AFL/CIO is featuring an in-person presentation and review of a Manufacturing Association book, titled : 'ReMaking America' with Scott Paul and Harold Meyerson.
While they mean well, all I'm reading so far is "Buy American" slogans.
Plus, calls to give incentives to manufacturing producers.
Apparently, their book includes absolutely nothing about increasing Aggregate Demand by reducing taxes on both labor and consumption. In fact, they propose INCREASING fuel taxes on an already overtaxed Middle Class!
Hate to say it, but the quality of decision-making by these well meaning people is ... "insufficient".
They're completely failing Situational Awareness, since they're completely out of paradigm regarding the most basic fundamentals of a democracy denominating it's own transactions with it's own - fiat - accounting units, our fiat currency.
Does anyone know of a way to get Warren's book to the authors, Paul & Meyerson?
Didn't hear about this in time to go (besides, we're a bit snowed in today).
Anyone have anything more positive to say about this book, or the state of mind of the American Association of Manufacturing?
