Agence France-Presse — US could topple my government and kill me: Argentina president Cristina Kirchner

This is not The Onion.

The Russians and Chinese leaders are laughing at how the US is pushing people into their waiting arms.

Well Tom if that were true why wouldn't the Chinese USD zombies just go to Kirschner and the Fed and exchange some Chinese owned USD balances for some feedstock and then the Argentine people could then use this to make payments on the Usd bonds?

Not the way the Chinese work, Matt. They are doing trade deals and if currency is involved it is RMB credits. They are trying to work around the USD and help others to do so, too.

This has be viewed against the background of the the knowledge of non-neoliberal regimes that are vassals states of the American Empire are on the US neocon list for regime change.

This is the new Cold War and these regimes are banding together, first, for self-preservation, and then to freeze out the US, stop globalization on neoliberal terms under the aegis of the American Empire, and create a multipolar world.

This is the basic geopolitical and geostrategic dynamic now. The US is going for the throat in many places now and major powers like China are in the neocon crosshairs. They are fully aware of this.

This Cold War, like the previous one, is largely economic and financial, although the military threat is in the background "with all options on the table."

Sad, The same pattern as everywhere else, when things go well, the politicians take credit, when things go bad, blame the Yanks. And the really tragic part is that the US government has so many bigger fish to fry. Odd to me that Kirchner thinks in the post-cold-war era that the United States really cares what Argentinian policy is. Unless they become a Russian territory or harbor Al Qaeda, Washington, probably doesn't care too much what she does. Washington would most likely prefer a fast growing, stable Argentina that won't present instability in the region.

Better for Argentina to just work on Argentina than worry about CIA plots. Issue bonds in Argentinian pesos, and stop allowing mortgages in USD, then the US has no power over Argentina.

Same for all the rest. The world doesn't need USD. Take away the power of sanctions by not using USD and using your own currency. Require payment for trade goods in your currency. Then the onus for balance of payments is on the surplus nations, they can't hide behind the US dollar.
