In the poll, 74.2 percent agreed that Greece must stay in the euro zone "at all costs", and 24.1 percent disagreed.
The people's basic intuition here is the correct one, it reflects great desire among the people there for European solidarity.
The current leadership's ability to administer this system is where the problem lies. The current leadership is neither qualified (dokimon) nor competent (hikanoi) to administer a common European currency system.

Isolation is preferred in that part of the world? A non Euro Zone existence will achieve just that. Never gonna happen. Never!
Small minority there prefer that Mal.... most people seem to have it correct... moron leadership screwing it all up imo...

The problem is that most people can't understand that the Euro is the problem.
It's less to do with 'European Solidarity' amongst the latin states and more a fear of the return of facism.
Remember the Germans are still hung up on hyperinflation.
They cling to these beliefs like drowning sailors.
It is exactly the same thought process that ensures that US citizens vote against the provision of a public health system.
I've always found it interesting what people will do to themselves in the name of belief.

And remember that the Weimar Republic had no central fiscal authority. Just like EU know who.
Neil is right, but what it amazes me even more in the capacity of humans to get the wrong conclusions from a phenomenon.
Like all the idiocy about what caused Weimer hyperinflation and the raise of nazism, most people do not get it right at all!
