Jon Schwartz — Bernie Sanders on Obama’s “Biggest Mistake”

No spoilers. You have to read it to find out. It's a good point and shows the difference between Barack Obama and Bernie Sanders. Hint: Both professed to be populists in their campaigns.

Sanders: "I have a lot of respect and admiration for Barack Obama.”

And why's that? The bailouts? The cronyism? The appalling suffering of the American working and middle class? The global assassination campaign? The destruction of Libya , Yemen and Syria? The overthrow of Ukraine's government by neo-Nazis? The pivot to Asia? The backing of jihadis in Syria? The aiding of the counterrevolutionaries in the Arab world (Egypt, Bahrian, etc).

Does Sanders believe that saying this will make him popular? That he can win the presidency? Why doesn't he just tell the American people what they know is true: Obama is about as awful a president as you can get. And apart from the trendy cultural lefties whose concerns are somewhat idiosyncratic, Sanders may find his popularity rocket with regular people.

Bernie Sanders has fried chicken for brains. Henceforth he is to be known as Colonel Sanders.
