Port of LA sets all time record for a single ship steel delivery


New record of 40,000 tons. I wonder what price whoever bought this paid per ton?   I'd guess it was imported and fetched a pretty low price in USD terms.

Commodity prices are down,I thought demand was low-apparently not.I wonder what this steel is going to be used for.

Looks thick might be coiled plate.... couldnt find any info on its source (revealing) its probably from China (they are DUMPING) and will be used in the construction of US Navy warships that will then operate against China...

Off-line source telling me the "KL" sprayed on the roll is probably "Kuala Lumpur" so perhaps it is of Malaysian not Chinese origin...

Going to wipe out everyone that was stockpiling commodities in anticipation of higher prices, especially where leverage was used.
