Yet Yves find it not corrupt that government insures privately created deposits/liabilities and that only depository institutions may deal with fiat, except in the form of unsafe, inconvenient physical fiat, which the peasants may still use to some extent.
More the City than the UK as a whole though.
Imagine if this were Russia, imagine the Western propaganda? Bad Russia, evil Russia, gangster Russia, oligarch Russia! But it is us, and the man in the street hardly ever gets to know.
We were taught that Big Brother/ 1984 would come in a totalitarian communist country, little did we know that it would be here right under our noses. The propaganda so complete that no one knows.
The workplace is totalitarian, where we are driven to work very hard in the Machine. We are told about competition and so we accept hell. We accept the misery, the dreary long hours, and the boredom of work, where the pay is often, for most people, hardly enough to cover the daily bills.
Were know Only bad Russia, evil Russia, gangster Russia, and oligarch Putin! If the Russians were doing to the Palestinians what the Israelis do, WW3 would have occurred long ago. But we hardly get to hear much about it. The propaganda is complete.

Propaganda works best when there is a little bit of truth to it, then they manipulate that truth for their own gain. People don't realise that they are being played like a puppet on a string.
I suspect that Putin is behind it all.
