Amazing.
Free cooking oil - only way to keep the peasants happy.
If you go through the videos, you'll discover why they are putting engineers on farming. They are diversifying away from heavy industry for several reasons — pollution and overcapacity. One new field they are entering is high-end ag. They want to grow premium crops as another profit center, so they put some tech people on it.

In traditional societies around the world, cooking oil is a very big deal.
Agriculture is a neglected technology. What research is done is unduly limited by the need for profitable chemicals.
Gilded cage.
Only difference to the West is they are conditioned from birth to seek their identity in the collective. In the West, same cage, but conditioned to seek their identity in the individual. In the face of such conditioning, the wise human has ever sought the self. Then expresses the joy and understanding, the intelligence of that self, through both the individual and the collective, detached from both. Without the self, there is no compass, no map, no path, no horizon, no destination, no arrival. Vote 1 - the self! Not many think like that hey Matt!
The door to the cage is always open. Outside, the nightingale sings! Beckons! Wonders why that little bird, who beat his wings so hard when he was young, when first placed in that cage, will not fly free?
