Holt says China is trying to achieve economic superiority over the US. What, do you mean that if a country economic system outsmarts the US then the US will go to war with that country? Surely if we live in free world, which the US says it defends, then countries should be able to choose any economic system that suites them best. Oh I get it, China is not a democracy, but hey, neither is America, so who are the FBI kidding?
Lester Holt comes across as a gangster to me, as many of the elite are, and peace with Russia threatens their military-industrial complex profits (a protection racket that these mobsters run), so China is being set up to be the new bogeyman. They didn't waste any time getting the next enemy ready for us, I suppose just in case Trump actually does pull off a working peace deal with Russia, despite the CIA and FBI attempts to undermine it.

Tom Hickey and I feel that the Western Empire’s leaders are most afraid of China. Endless Russia-bashing is just a show.
The measure of a nation’s strength is not its military, but its economy. The Empire fears China's economy. The Empire's leaders know that the Empire is crippled by its own corruption.
In addition there is a racial factor involved. Russia and the Western Empire are Europeans, whereas the Chinese are inscrutable Asians.
Recall that Hitler was “evil” because he “wanted to conquer the world.” The “holocaust”™ lie was not invented until the Nuremberg "trials," which began six months after the formal end of WW II in Europe, and continued for a year. At the Nuremberg farce was invented the self-righteous nonsense about soap made out of boiled Jews, lampshades made out of Jewish skin, the mass production of Jewish “shrunken heads” as souvenirs, and so on. (The Soviets wanted the narrative to read that six million Jews were electrocuted, but the “gassing” lie eventually won out.)
The point is that the war on Germany was not a race war, but the war on Japan was a race war. I base this on a couple of books by historian Gerald Horne.
In Race War! White Supremacy and the Japanese Attack on the British Empire [2005] Horne spotlighted the racist elements of Japanese and Anglo-American wartime propaganda. Both sides (whites and the Japanese) were racial supremacists, and the enmity between them began at the end of the First World War, when the West snubbed Japan (which had fought on the side of the Western Allies).
Because of the racism element during WW II, Japanese American civilians were sent to concentration camps, but German Americans were not. German POWs yes, but not German-American civilians.
I propose that, consciously or subconsciously, there is a racism element in the Empire’s fear of China.
The Empire attacks on Russia are empty blather. This is why we continually hear about Russia, Russia, Russia. However the Empire dares not attack China in the same way, lest the Empire rouse an unstoppable giant. The Empire dares not impose sanctions on China. And Trump’s threats of a trade war are, once again, empty blather, since the USA vitally depends on China, and therefore could never win a trade war.
What keeps the Empire’s leaders awake and worried at night is not Russia, but China.
This is all reverse racist and under-educated twaddle! The ordinary people of both America and China want an equitable economic system neither of the two countries currently offer them this!
