Stephen F. Cohen — Trump as New Cold War Heretic

Heretics are scorned or worse, but sometimes in history they prevail. However strongly people may disapprove of the president’s other words and deeds, anyone, anywhere across our political spectrum, who wishes to avoid war with Russia—again, conceivably nuclear war—must support and encourage this Trump heresy until it is no longer heresy, until the full debate over reckless US policy since the 1990s finally ensues, and until that approach changes, as should have happened, as Trump said, “a long time ago.” It is not too late, but it may be the last chance.

CLAIM: Every U.S. intelligence agency has concluded that the Russian government “interfered in” or “meddled with” the U.S. election of 2016. (“Interfered in” and “meddled with” are not defined.)

FACT: A small group of people hand-picked by the DNC from three of the 18 intelligence agencies (NSA, FBI, and CIA -- all of which are notorious liars) produced a “report” that “assessed” (i.e. guessed) that Russia did something or other to benefit Trump.

What exactly was this something that Russia allegedly did Russia to benefit Trump? The DNC-connected liars don’t say.

Was Trump involved in this alleged something? The DNC-connected liars don’t say.

Was this something the exposure of the DNC rigging the primaries for Hillary? The DNC-connected liars don’t say.

Did the exposure of DNC corruption sway the election in any way? The DNC-connected liars don’t say.

Is it essential to our “freedom and democracy” that DNC corruption be kept secret? The DNC-connected liars don’t say.

Therefore, unknown people produced an unread report that makes unknown "assessments." The unknown people were hand-picked by DNC liars. Their vague blather has become the Gospel handed down by the entire sacred “Intelligence Community.” To question this nonsense is to be a traitor. To question the notorious NSA, FBI, and CIA is to be a “Russian agent.”

All you need to know is that Russia is evil because of the Skripal hoax, and because Trump met with Putin.

The corporate media outlets are obsessed with Russophobia. Neoliberal Wall Street Democrats will base their November platform on Russophobia.

However the public doesn’t care about Russophobia.

Therefore Democrats will lose in November, and Trump will be re-elected in 2020.

“The media coverage, not Trump himself at the summit, was shameful.” ~ Stephen F. Cohen

Exactly.

“As usual on this subject, Senator John McCain led the vigilante posse: ‘No prior president has ever abased himself more abjectly before a tyrant’,”

McCain is wasting away in his house near rural Cornville AZ (pop. 3,200). Just DIE already!

In the film, The Planet of the Apes, the humans worshipped the atomic bomb. Now that's pretty dumb, but it looks like we aren't any better. It's the money it brings in.

Did you remember in the film, The Raiders of the Lost Ark, where some guy falls down a hole that seems to reach to the centre of the Earth. He has a big bag of gold in his hand which he accidentally drops below him as he saves his life by hanging onto a branch. He then desperately reaches down for the bag of gold, so scared that he will lose it, but the branch gives away and he plummets to his death. You here one of those long terrible screams that disappears into the distance. That was dumb too, but he was greedy. That's the sort of people who rule over us.
