Not if the Fed starts QT at the same time… won’t be any “money!” around to finance the inventories at the higher prices…

Fed better get the QT going pronto… head off the “inflation!” at the pass…

That headline doesn't sound hypothetical to me... clickbait?

It's not next week yet. This is a trial balloon and there is resistance, especially on the part of German business, which is warning it will tank and there will be civl unrest. So we'll see next week.

It is based on the false belief that oil sales fund the Russian war machine.

Stephen Fry promotes it and is supposed to the brain box of the UK

Just listen to this shite and read the comments section.

The new guy in Germany may not be as tied in to the Germany petrochemical industry as Merkel was and is instead tied in with the German Defense industry and the German military…

Germany has elections…. as does the US… does Russia have elections?

To what extent do the logistics, at present, allow the Russians to sell oil and food to someone else? Because the feeling I sense from a lot of countries is, "um, yeah, that is indeed an interesting story you westerners tell.. You go ahead now and suicide yourself, but we want in on this cheap Russian energy and food."

1. Shipping via northern route to China and Black Sea through Bosphorus to the Mediterranean, and from the Mediterranean to the Red Sea and Indian Ocean through Suez Canal, and through Straits of Gibraltar to the Atlantic and Latin America and Western Africa. This pretty much covers the Global South.

2. Rail link up with China.

3. Pipelines to China and Southern Asia.

4. Cargo transport by air.

Much of this is already operational.

Trade with China is presently increasing while trade with Europe is decreasing.
