“One factor that could well be keeping the gold price so supported is the strength of buying from central banks, including those in China, India and Turkey. As these fast-growing economies look to diversify away from the hegemony of the US dollar, these banks have bought considerable volume last year with that trend expected to continue into this year.”

The buying coming from China is in preparation for war – not bullish gold for the sake of gold.…
They know war is coming and they can no longer maintain their reserves in dollars, euros, or yen no less than anyone else in the West – it all must go! Gold offers a non-political affiliation – neutrality. This is not buying gold as if it were an investment. We have completely different motives going on. Our own model warns that by 2032, there will be no United States acting as the reserve currency. The Biden Administration has done everything perfectly to destroy the world economy and the sad part about it, these morons do not even understand what they have done.

Regarding the Pepe Escobar article…

The USA has the world’s largest trade deficit by far.

Therefore USA would collapse if the US dollar was not so widely used as a reserve currency, and if energy (e.g. oil and natural gas) was not so widely traded in dollars.

Therefore, the more the world moves toward de-dollarization, the more the USA weakens.

The USA cannot stop global de-dollarization. The tectonic shift is too vast. Therefore the USA (i.e. the Neoliberal Empire) is focused on reducing Europe to a vassal of the Empire.

Therefore people are deluded if they think the Ukraine situation is about Ukraine, or that Europe’s boycott of Russian goods and energy is about “defeating Russia.” The reality is that Ukraine is merely a cover story, a pretext for Europe to maintain its boycott of cheap Russian energy, and its subservience to Washington.

The target is Europe, not Russia. The Empire demands that Europe boycott Russia in order for the Empire to cling to whatever tyranny it has left as it collapses.

Meanwhile, domestically, the Empire pushes wokery in order to keep the peasants divided and distracted.

Internationally, the Empire uses wokery as a weapon of cultural and political imperialism. Societies that bow to the rainbow flag, plus the war on whites, plus unrestricted immigration, plus Antifa-style rioting, plus other depravities, will bow to anything.

Wokery will end when the Empire collapses.

Perhaps Europeans have less apathy than Americans. Perhaps they will organize and remove pro-Washington stooges from their parliaments.

If something happened to Putin it would swing right back

A front-runner and maybe the front-runner to succeed Putin is Yevgeny Prigozhin, who is the leader and bankroller of Wagner, a private mercenary force now the exclusive force in the battle for Bakhmut (Artyomovsk in Russian). In other words, Putin on steroids.
